Assisted Insemination

Assisted insemination / artificial insemination/ or intrauterine insemination (IUI), is a simple and affordable fertility treatment. It’s a good starting point if you or your partner have been diagnosed with unexplained infertility, minor sperm abnormalities or other male disorders.

Frozen semen can also be used for assisted insemination.

What does assisted insemination involve?

During assisted insemination prepared semen from your partner or sperm donor is inserted through the neck of your womb (cervix) and into your uterus, close to the time of ovulation. We can do this during a natural cycle, or alongside Ovulation Induction.
