Frequently Asked Questions:

What is Consentic?

Consentic is a digital consent solution, delivering a clinically validated, patient-centric approach to medical consent. It standardises and streamlines the consent process.

How does it work?

  • Patients receive an email with a secure link to access their treatment consent.

  • Logging in is a simple and secure process, using two-step verification.

  • Patients watch essential information relating to their treatment, ensuring they are well-informed about their treatment.

  • Patients electronically sign and return consent forms, streamlining and eliminating paper-based processes.

When does it launch?

Consentic will be introduced to TasIVF from 7 April 2025.

I am an active patient, will I need to reconsent?

If you report your day one prior to 7 April, we encourage you to complete new consents in Consentic.  However, if you choose not to this time and later decide to return to TasIVF  for future treatment, you will use the Consentic system for those future treatments.

If you report your day 1 on or after 7 April, may need to reconsent in the new Consentic system, even if you have already signed a paper consent form. Please speak to your care team to discuss your individual circumstances.

I am just about to start treatment will I have to wait for my consent forms to be available in Consentic?

No, you can sign your consent forms now using our existing consent process and commence treatment.  However, we encourage you to also complete your consents in the new Consentic system when it goes live.

How do I get more information?

If you have any questions about the introduction of eConsents at our clinic, please call 03 6212 7700 and speak to your care team.
